Lindley is a spot I visit quite a lot for landscape photography. Located where the Washburn Valley meets Lower Wharfedale and not far from the point that the River Washburn flows into the Wharfe. It offers beautiful raised views over the fields and woodland of Lower Wharfedale towards Pool-in-Wharfedale. This particular morning was fresh. The temperature was about 0°C when I left the house and a thick frost lay all around the tracks and fields. By the time I reached Lindley the sun had been up for about an hour beginning to thaw the frost, causing a fine mist to rise from the valley floor which mingles with the chimney smoke from the already busy industry of Pool.
